This joyful musical by Lynn Ahrens and Jeffrey Flaherty is a story of love between two different worlds -- the worldly, aristocratic "beauxhommes" and island peasants who gain their living from the earth and the sea and worship the island gods of earth, water, love and death. When innocent peasant girl Ti Moune falls in love with the young, high-born Daniel, the peasants and the aristocrats are shocked, and even the gods try to keep them apart. But Ti Moune has a special destiny that will change her island home forever and test the power of love against the power of death itself. With it's vibrant calypso music and it's inspiring story of the power of love, this play is a delight for all ages.
