This is the story of Carl the clockmaker and his wife Marie. The happy couple are expecting a child, and for some unknown reason Marie is drawn to the smell of radishes growing in her neighbor's garden. Carl climbs the wall and gathers radishes for his wife, but unfortunately for the couple, the garden belongs to a witch .... In exchange for Carl's life, the witch demands that the couple give her the child, Rapunzel. And to protect the girl, the witch casts a spell that sends Rapunzel into a tower without any doors, deep in the forest. And there Rapunzel must stay until a sunny day when Prince Eric and his squire Carlton, hunting in the forest, hear a lovely singing voice ... and there they find Rapunzel's tower.
