A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play

Saturday, December 19th - January 1st

The Charles Dickens holiday classic comes to life as a live 1940s radio broadcast, complete with vintage commercials for fruitcake (extra-fancy), and the magic of live sound effects and musical underscoring. A handful of actors bring dozens of characters to the stage, as the familiar story unfolds: Three ghosts take Ebenezer Scrooge on a thrilling journey to teach him the true meaning of Christmas. A charming take on a family favorite that will leave no one saying "Bah Humbug!"

$10 for a on demans performance.

This show, presented by The Backyard Shenanigans Theatre Project & The Mitchell Performing Arts Center, is a funrasider for the Mitchell Performing Arts Center. All proceeds will go toward improving the lighting system at MPAC! Any extra donations are much appreciated!

Friday, February 7 | 7 PM
Saturday, February 8 | 7 PM

Presented by Bryn Athyn College and Backyard Shenanigans Theatre Project.

Grandpa Vanderhof and his wacky family, the Sycamores, have been happily living their zany lives in his house  in New York for many years. This family  are a madcap group of eccentrics, marching to the beat of their own drum, with pride and joy. But when practical young Alice Sycamore becomes engaged to her company’s Vice President Tony Kirby, the Vanderhof/Sycamore clan must straighten up to meet the new in-laws. Disaster ensues when the Kirbys arrive at the wrong time and, despite the best laid plans, see Alice’s family in all of its crazy glory. You Can’t Take It With You is a madcap, idealistic comedy that reinforces the idea that you can only live life to the fullest by doing whatever makes you happy.

ANC presents Humbug

Thursday, December 5 | 8 PM
Friday, December 6 | 8 PM
Saturday, December 7 | 2 PM
Saturday, December 7 | 7 PM

A Christmas Carol with a modern-day twist, Humbug follows the story of Eleanor Scrooge, an ambitious Wall Street executive who has an aversion to Christmas. Locked in her office on a snowy Christmas Eve, Eleanor is determined to finish a corporate-takeover proposal until three "advisors" provide her with an eye-opening new appreciation for the holidays and the spirit of Christmas. An upbeat and moving adaptation of Dickens' holiday classic with a contemporary flair, Humbug is a tale the whole family will enjoy!

$10 adults | $8 students.
